Hey sk8r bois, you’re not what Avril Lavigne is looking for anymore. See, she’s grown up some, and she’s no longer after a grungy skate rat who treats her like one of the boys. She needs someone who’s gonna make her feel special, someone who’s gonna open the door for her and stuff, you know? If you think you have what it takes to satisfy this pop-punk princess, leave her a dashing comment on her Myspace page. Oh, and don’t miss the embedded Revver video for “He Wasn’t” while you’re there.
Got a Myspace page? Make like Avril and take advantage of that extra traffic by embedding Revver videos on your page. When grabbing, make sure to select the “Quicktime (for Myspace)” grab option!

The new year beckons, and it’s time for fresh starts and new beginnings! It’s only fitting, then, that the theme for the next Revver Film School project is the future. What do we mean? You know, the future! The Professor, who happens to be in an uncharacteristically amicable mood, invites you to interpret it however you like.
Tag your videos “rfs future” (in quotes, space included) in order to enter your submissions for class. The deadline for this assigment is Monday, Jan. 15.
All submissions for this project will be featured in the “Revver Film School - The Future” collection, and the 5 most-watched entries will be featured in the Head of the Class collection!

It’s more of a rhetorical question really - it appears that these totally INSANE blenders, demonstrated by Tom Dickinson over at WillItBlend.com, can pulverize and liquify just about anything. Watch as Tom jovially blends cell phones, hockey pucks, golf clubs, and more! You can even suggest your own concoction! Tilapia frappé anyone?

The well-deserved success of Rabbit Bites, the witty vlog by two smart-ass bunnies who dissect internet videos and personalities, has given stars Buns and Chou Chou the creative freedom to pursue other projects. Chou Chou, one half of the power-duo, is proving herself to be quite versatile with her new interview series “Coffee with Chou.” Her first interviewee is none other than our very own Micki Krimmel, Revver’s Director of Community. Here’s what Chou as to say about Micki:
Micki is one of the most intelligent people we have ever met. How do we know? Rabbit Bites is her favorite vlog. Yessirr, Revver sure knows how to hire! Learn more about this “ball of fire” on Coffee with Chou!
Our sentiments exactly. Check out the video, and check back to RabbitBites.com for the next installment - it’s sure to be someone interesting.

The latest Revver Film School project was to create a video holiday greeting card to share with friends and family, and a new batch of students has moved straight to the head of the class with festive submissions that really bring the good cheer. From old Christmas classics to Arnold’s, erm, provocative thoughts on Hanukkah, these five videos are stellar examples of holiday well-wishing. Congratulations to our winners, who are featured in the Head of the Class Collection, and much thanks to them for these festive offerings.
And the winners are…
“The Night Before Chrismas” by Tooncast - A Christmas classic, handsomely illustrated and read by a crackly-voiced old man.

“The Anal Song” by Moonmuppet - Reducey-Risk Reindeer sings an incoherent song for the holidays.

Are you socially conscious? Are you a filmmaker? If so, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. FightHunger.org is running a video contest to raise global awareness about child hunger, which it aims to eradicate by 2015 as part of the UN Millenium Development Goals. The winner will win a trip to experience and film a World Food Program school feeding project in a developing country. Here are the basic guidelines:
To participate you will need to submit a short video (no longer than 120 seconds) that sends the message that child hunger should end by 2015. We have opened the floor to everyone who wants to express their ideas creatively - even if it be an abstract video.
To have your video included in the contest, upload to Revver and tag it “fhvideo,” then submit it at the contest page. Winners will be judged on a variety or criteria, outlined on the contest rule page. This is for an amazing cause and you’ll be furthering the initiative just by participating.
Submissions are due by the end of the day on Thursday, Dec. 21, so get busy! You can see current submissions (your competition!) here.
